Don't just talk the talk, WALK THE WALK!

Welcome to "Abolish the Blame", striving to fight back against victim-blaming around sexual violence. How we act, dress or look is NOT an invitation to be raped and assaulted.
In 2011, women in Toronto joined together and took action against the police there who called survivors of rape and sexual assaults "sluts" and suggested that women who "dressed like sluts" were inviting that type of abuse.
These remarks spread across the world like wildfire and women joined together to protest these remarks and show that the way the dress, act or look is NOT a reason to be a victim for this kind of abuse from men.
In Richmond, we are rising above these remarks and striving to "Abolish the Blame" associated with vicitims of sexual assault.
Let's make our voices heard, Richmond! This doesn't just happen on college campuses, it happens across this city. This is a grass roots event, unaffiliated with others held around the world, but lead by the simple principal that sexual assault is unacceptable and should not be tolerated.
We are here to provide support to vicitims and survivors and show them there is light and hope beyond the darkness.
Thank you for your support!
